Redundancy and Redundancy Pay ENTITLEMENT

If you are making employees redundant we can advise and assist in dealing with it fairly. If you are being made redundant we can advise on your redundancy entitlement. This will include your redundancy pay entitlement, but may also include other entitlements. So your overall redundancy entitlement may be in excess of the statutory amounts set out below. We can also help to get a deal with your employer or advise you on possible legal action. We advise both employers and employees on compromise agreements.

(See also matters we deal with and mediation.)

Statutory Redundancy Payments CALCULATOR

To calculate the number of weeks' redundancy pay entitlement, cross reference: the employee's age at the date the  redundancy takes effect and the number of completed years of service at that date in the table below to find out the number of weeks' pay the employee is entitled to. Then multiply the number of weeks' pay the employees entitled to by the employee's gross weekly salary (the maximum amount of weekly salary which can be taken into account in making this calculation is £400 from 1st February 2011).
